Brenda Rivera

Brenda Rivera, born on January 26, 1964, transitioned peacefully to eternal rest on December 19, 2024. At the age of 60, she departed this world, embraced once again by her cherished son, Ramon Rivera. She was welcomed into the loving arms of her parents, Estella and Adonio Vasquez, her brother Jim Sierra, her sister Angie Vasquez, her brother Joe Vasquez, and her beloved dog, Luke. Together, they form a loving reunion that Brenda surely rejoices in.

Brenda had a gift for touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She adored her family—her partner, Fred Atherley, her devoted sisters Ramona Sierra and Julie Tamayo, and her supportive brothers Mike Sierra and Robert Vasquez. Brenda cherished her many nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart, feeling like her own children.

Brenda found great joy in collecting Native American porcelain dolls, and she had a passion for wrestling, movies, and her beloved soap operas. Yet, nothing brought her more fulfillment than being a steady presence for her family. As we grieve her departure, we remember Brenda not with tears of sorrow, but with hearts full of love and gratitude for the time we had with her. She would want us to celebrate her life, the light that she embodied, and the love shared together.

We invite you to join us in honoring the memory of our dear Brenda. A Rosary will be held at Saint Teresa Catholic Church on January 9th at 10:00 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. After the church service, her ashes will be laid to rest at Midvale City Cemetery. Following the burial, we will gather for a luncheon to celebrate the beautiful memories and experiences Brenda shared with all of us during her life.

Brenda, may you rest in peace, knowing that your legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved you. You are deeply missed, but your spirit will shine brightly, guiding and watching over us always. We love you, Brenda.
