Our beloved wife, mother and Grammy, Brenda Kay Wilds, died on January 5, 2021 at Davis Hospital in Layton, Utah due to the unfortunate complications of Covid. She was born on September 29, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah to her loving parents, Glen and Merle Burningham.
She married her husband of over 50 years, Myron, on April 27, 1970.
She enjoyed her many years as a preschool teacher and loved her retirement spent making blankets, crafts, and sewing. Her most recent sewing project was an example of how caring and thoughtful she was of others by making hundreds of cute masks for her family, friends and even strangers, to help keep everyone safe. She was very fond of spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed taking long rides with her husband (and her kids enjoyed joking with them for driving 250 miles to get a Coke and Diet Pepsi!) She also has the ultimate collection of Wizard of Oz memorabilia she spent much of her life collecting.
She is survived by her husband, Myron; her daughters: Texie (Dean) Nelson, Wendy (Brad) Hill, Jennie (Marty) Jacks, and Mandy (Jason) Lubeck; her grandchildren: Alexis, Nicholas, Madilyn, Austin, Brooklynn, Gavin, Bryson, Kendra, Lily, Sadie and Lincoln; brothers: Steve (Vickie) Burningham and Howard (Vicki) Burningham; and sister-in-law, Kathy Burningham.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Merle; her father, Glen; and her brother, Jerry.
Due to current circumstances, and to respect Brenda’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service with her immediate family. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later, safer time.
Our family would like to express their greatest appreciation to her ICU team for the excellent care and selfless efforts taken to save her life. She put up a great fight, but she is needed in heaven.
