Brenda Anderton

March 5, 1927 — July 16, 2021

On July 16, 2021, our beloved Mom, Grandma, Grandma Great, Auntie, sister and wife, Brenda Heath Anderton was made whole as she passed through the veil to be greeted by her parents, Harold and Elsie Heath, her sisters Hilda Morgan, Beryl Harris and Audrey Ellen Heath, her son, Mark, and her grandsons, Seth and Colton. Born March 5, 1927, in Birmingham, England, Brenda spent her childhood being the feisty second-born daughter who always protected her family, collecting their rations during World War II and later coming to America, following the Gospel to Salt Lake City.  She had a strong testimony and was a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple and later in the Draper Temple.  She served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for many years as a chorister, also serving as Relief Society president, as Primary President and many other positions.  She founded and led a women’s singing group, the Tripletones, who performed for church meetings, assisted living centers and Christmas parties, continuing to sing together for many years.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed having family parties so that everyone would be together.  She passed her love of music and the outdoors onto her children.  She loved reading novels and the scriptures and everyone looked forward to getting their baby booties knitted by their Grandma or their Auntie Brenda.  While her last years were difficult as she battled dementia, her family was blessed to repay her for the service she gave them through her life by caring for her through the ravages of her disease.  Her family would like to thank Canyons Home Care and Hospice for their unfailing service and assistance in caring for Brenda; in particular they wish to express their profound gratitude to Heather, Natasha and Veronica for the care they provided Brenda and the support they gave her family.  She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 68 years, Raymond Anderton, six of her seven children, Patsy Rae (Richard “Dick”) Jensen, Kathryn (Jan) Haarbrink, Bruce (Karen) Anderton, Mitch (Alma) Anderton, Andrew (Nicole) Anderton and Trevor (Ronda) Anderton, her 19 grandchildren, her 24.5 great-grandchildren, her sister, Terry Burrows and multiple nieces and nephews.
