Brandon T. Baxter

October 8, 1982 — April 6, 2021

Brandon T. Baxter, passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2021. He was born October 8th, 1982, and was a trouble-maker from the start. Teachers at school had to separate him for distracting the other students. He loved to torment his sisters and give his parents a run for their money. Brandon loved camping and riding the 4-wheeler and his dirt bike. He enjoyed karate with his best friend, Micah. He graduated from West Jordan High in 2001 and attended college briefly before starting a career building cutting dies. He became interested in bodybuilding and fitness as a young adult. He met Terril and they immediately hit it off. He embraced the fact that she had a son and stepped into the role of Step-Father with pride. 3 short years later, they welcomed a daughter into their lives and she became the light of his life. He was always wisecracking and was pretty good with bad jokes.  He had an enormous love for music and singing. He had no shame in admitting that he was a fan of The Backstreet Boys, always commenting on “how great the harmony was”. But he loved all types of music, simply because it was music.
He is survived by his Fiancé, Terril Taggart; his children, Wyatt Taggart and Riley Baxter; his parents Lori (Tim) Gardner, Tim (Laura) Baxter; his Grandparents Carol Pickering and John and Dorothy Baxter; his sisters Jessica Cruz, Tasha (Tim) Hough, and Brittany (JR) Sjoblom; a Niece, Phoenix Wright, and 2 Nephews, Camron and Braidyn Sjoblom, as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, all of whom he cared for dearly.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Eugene Pickering, Step-Grandmother Geraldine O’Connell, Aunts, Lisa Pickering and Erin Richardson, and an Uncle, Craig Pickering.
The family would like to express a sincere Thank You to the Emergency and ICU Doctors and Nursing staff at Jordan Valley Medical Center for their compassionate care of both Brandon and his family when he passed.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 14th from 6-8 pm at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South in West Jordan, Utah.
