Brandan Lee Barker was born to Sheila Eskelson and Bryan Barker on July 13th, 1982 in Sandy, Utah.
Brandan had a loving blended family. Raised by his stepfather Kenneth Atwood from the age of 3 to 10. His love for Brandan was unmeasurable. Stepfather Kim Gladden raised Brandan from the age of 11 and became a pillar in Brandan’s life.
Brandan graduated Hillcrest School in 2002.  He attended the Jordan Applied Tech Center, specializing in Information Technology. Brandan had a love for technology in all forms. He built his first computer at 16 years old, a hobby he shared with his younger brother Josh.
Brandan was a very passionate person. He could talk to anyone and build a friendship, whenever he found something he enjoyed, he wanted to share it with everyone so that they too could feel his happiness.
He was always available when someone needed help. He had a unique and genuine personality, he loved to make people laugh and he had a smile that was contagious. He always found the humor in any situation.
In business Brandan had a gift for sales because he was good with people. His one weakness in sales was his honesty (Which is why He didn’t last long at LHM Car Sales).
Brandan had many Hobbies over the years. Cars and street racing were one of them. He loved his Dodge Neon and would work on it frequently. Brandan loved Music. He was never seen without his headphones and always had a playlist of new songs for you to listen to. He had a passion for art and photography and could be found exploring the city and surrounding nature capturing things he saw beauty in.
Brandan married Terilyn Gunderson in 2005. Young and in love, together they had their son Kamden Lee Barker, the light of Brandan’s life.
Brandan and Teri divorced in 2010. Brandan remained a passionate father. He lived everyday with Kamden at foremost of his thoughts and actions.
Brandan Cherished his mother and step-father (Kim Gladden) who raised him from the young age of 11.
Brandan would frequently call to speak with his mom and dad throughout his adult life to share his joy’s and sadness or simply ask advice.
He’ll be missed deeply. Please honor Brandan by performing a simple act of random kindness for someone.
