Booth Tripp

Booth Archie Tripp, age 92, passed away on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 due to covid-19 complications. He was born to Opal Gene Booth and Archie Lewis Tripp on January 22nd, 1928 in Murray, UT. He married Jane Cannon and together they had three children; Mike, Steve, and Rob. He later married Marilyn Colton and they had three children; Forrest, Diamond, and Cydney.
Booth joined the Air Force National Guard for two years. He then became a model for Auerbach’s and was the head buyer purchasing their clothing through manufacturers. He was also a Realtor, owner of a Hallmark greeting card store, and piano tuner/restorer. He loved going to the beach and sporting events, especially when it involved his grandchildren. He enjoyed antique cars and spent a lot of time in St. Augustine, Florida with his family. Booth was also a lover of diet coke, Dove chocolate, and chocolate pie… well actually anything chocolate.
He is survived by his six children; Mike Tripp, Steve Tripp, Rob (Sue) Tripp, Forrest (Kim) Tripp, Diamond (Leesha) Tripp, and Cydney (Mike) Colson, his grandchildren with Janie; Crystal, Alicia, Mike, Jessica, KC, Josh, Tony, Robbie, and his grandchildren with Marilyn; Chad, Brandon, Amber, Shea, River, Piper, Cora, Calla, Nila, and Kells.
He was preceded in death by his sister; Diane Hurst.
Services will be held Monday, January 25th, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Murray Mortuary located at 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior from 10:00-11:00 AM at the same location. Interment will follow at the Murray City Cemetery located at 5490 South Vine Street, Murray, Utah.
