Our beloved mother, grandmother, “Nanna”, sister and friend, Mabyl LaVonne “Bonnie” Vance Kershaw received her wings to soar in the heavens on July 25, 2015.
Born on November 4, 1927 to Erma Doris Righdenour and Lewis Harold Vance in Montpelier, Idaho. She is one of four children. Married Wilford Ray Kershaw on February 14, 1950 (later divorced), together they had four children, Bonnie Kaye Luce (David), Steven Kent Kershaw, Kraig Kershaw and Leslie Kim Buerkle (Joey).
Graduate of East High School and a retiree from the Utah State Office of Education after 24 years of service. Bonnie loved spending time with her family, reading and crocheting. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy for all to follow. We will miss her smile, her humor and the gentleness of her touch.
Survived by her four children, sister Maynetta Wright, brother Bill Vance, six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and her best friend of 71 years, June Helms. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Lewis Vance and grandson, Chad Bailey.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday July 30, 2015 at Redwood Memorial, 6500 S. Redwood Rd, SLC. Visitation at 10:00 am. Interment to follow.
