Bonnie June Larson Stam

June 13, 1933 — March 20, 2019

Bonnie June Larson Stam of Sandy, UT, age 85, passed away peacefully in her home, March 20, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Bonnie was born in Salt Lake City, UT on June 13, 1933 to Mary Adrienne (Thorpe) Larson and Neils Soren Larson.
Bonnie was the 5th of 6 children. She attended South High School and married the love of her life, Peter Christiaan Stam Jr. on August 30, 1950. Married for over 68 years, their love for one another was deep and everlasting—an inspiration to all. Rarely would you find one without the other. Their life together is the epitome of true love. They were adored by their 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
Bonnie had a deep love of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has held many different callings. Most recently, she and Pete served for two years as temple workers in the Jordan River temple and for seven years as building supervisors at the LDS Conference Center.
Bonnie was a woman with so many talents, they are difficult to count.
She was a classy and elegant woman who loved to be pampered-a snappy dresser with a great sense of style.
Bonnie was an avid reader and has belonged to a book club for the past 10 years. She was always willing to discuss her favorite reads and swap books with others.
She was smart and witty and current with the issues facing the world today.
She was a skilled seamstress and held her first job sewing at age 15.
Bonnie loved ceramics and working with porcelain. She was always willing to share her talents with others and help them learn new skills. Her porcelain dolls, village pieces and figurines can be seen in the homes of all her loved ones. She was a perfectionist and her motto was: “If you can’t do it right, then don’t do it at all.”
Her work had the look of a professional.
Gardening was a love of Bonnie’s and many of her family members came to her for advice on how to have a green thumb. Her geraniums were bigger than any on earth!
Bonnie loved all holidays, but Bonnie WAS Christmas. Her biggest thrill was giving gifts to each member of her family from her children down to her great-grandchildren. Sometimes searching stores from Provo to Ogden for the perfect gift!
Family was everything to Bonnie. She was fiercely loyal and lived for family gatherings. She would sacrifice anything for her family and serve them unconditionally–always with a hug, a kiss and expressions of her love. Summer days were especially sweet, sitting on her back deck, watching the scenery and visiting for hours.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Pete, her children, Shauna, Chris, Clint, and Adrienne,10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, daughter Sherrie, son-in-law, Mike, and grandson, Brett.
