Bonnie Joyce Flowers

September 22, 1935 — September 9, 2020

Bonnie Joyce Flowers a Forever Loved mother, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend has gone to fly with the Angels in heaven and reunite with her three loving daughters on Wednesday September 9th, 2020. She was born on September 22nd, 1935 to Thomas Earl Flowers and Gertrude Rush. She graduated from South High school with class of 1953 and later attended Salt Lake Community college to get her degree in accounting.
Her sassy personality and great sense of humor were just a couple of the many reasons why everyone loved her. She always had good conversation and was so fun to be around. Joyce was a wonderful mother, she raised three children Bonnie, Tammy, and Mike. Joyce took pride in being a Grandmother, she had 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and was even grandma to any other children that were in her life. She loved her family more than anything.
She put in 35 dedicated years to her Accounting position with Utah Department of Transportation before she officially retired. A couple hobbies that she picked up in her off time were crocheting and crosswords. She would sometimes stay up past midnight finishing a stich or a puzzle. 3 to 5 hours of sleep was all she needed! Lots of coffee some crackers, and a piece of toast was all she needed to eat!! Her diet and resting habits never seemed to ever affect her health or her activity levels. Following her retirement, it did not take long for her to find something to keep her active and more social. She seen an opportunity to become a “sample lady” at Sam’s Club and she just knew it was her calling. Over the next 10 years she met many customers whom she bonded and built friendships, and always enjoyed meeting new people, and talking about life. Unlike most sample ladies… she would let you take a few samples She was a friend to so many people. She enjoyed chatting and spending time with her Red Hat ladies, and online angel friends. She also loved her coffee and going out to coffee with friends and family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, she was extravagant and always seemed to go above and beyond with gifts, games, deserts, and decorations. Her favorite color is purple, and her most recent pass time and main connection to the world became face book, and there you could always count on seeing her post and comment. She loved all animals; however, she had a special love for cats, and was a self-proclaimed cat lady, that saved and took care of many cats both in her home and any strays that found her.
Joyce will be greatly missed; it is up to us to keep her wonderful memories alive. As for us left behind just remember, although this earth lost a perfect person heaven gained an Angel. Joyce is survived by her son; Mike (Alicia), her Brother; Bud (Kay), her grandchildren Tisha (Jeromy), Brian, Amanda,(Jamie), Ryan, (Clements), Jennifer, (Marcus),and Jessica. Great grandchildren; Aubrey, Kylan, Ashton, Taven, Karsen, Marshall, Adalyn, Evelyn, Jace, Silas, Charlette, and Oliver, her friend and former husband Bryce, and her Kitties Lucas and Toby.
