Bonnie Jean Preston Bolinder

June 12, 1961 — October 11, 2017

Our fun loving wife, mother, sister and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 11th after a long battle with health issues. Her viewing will be on Oct 22nd  from 6-8pm and her funeral will be held on Oct 23rd  at 11am. Both will be held at the LDS Chapel located at 6180 S and 850 E  in Murray UT.   Her interment will be at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery located at 7800 S and 3115 E in Sandy Utah.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents: Dr. Robert Dee Preston and Marian Carlisle Preston.  She is survived by: her husband John Jay Bolinder, her daughter Anastasia Bolinder, her only sister Debbie Preston Skeen (Randy), her brothers Robert Craig Preston (Nancy), Jim Preston (Fidge), and Doug Preston (Wendy).
She passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of October 11th around 9am after many years of struggles with her health that included Breast Cancer, Heart Failure, and finally Kidney Failure.  She had been on Dialysis for just over a year and a half and she made many dear friendships with both the Nurses and the other patients at her Dialysis Clinic in Kearns.  We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the caring and dedicated people that took such great and kind care of her during her Dialysis treatments at the West Valley Dialysis Center.
During the past few weeks Bonnie had been placed on Hospice, but not for the normal reasons, it was so that she could have fewer visits to the hospital and hospital ER  (averaging 2 times per month all year). We also would like to thank the kind people at Summit Home Health that also took such kind care of her during their many visit’s, especially we are grateful for all that our main nurse (Bailee) from their group did for us and her during the past few weeks, thank you all so very much.
Born on June 12th 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bonnie has spent her life living in sight of the beautiful Rocky Mountains that surround Salt Lake City, Utah.  She was an avid shopper and purveyor of books (Especially LDS books mixed with many, many Cook Books), in fact it could be hard to tell where one left off, and the other began. She enjoyed home schooling Anastasia and being able to learn all over again with her precious daughter.
Bonnie graduated high school at Olympus High and then attended the University of Utah for several years taking many art and literary courses until graduating with a BS in English.
Bonnie married John Bolinder on January 28th 1989 and they have struggled and weathered the storms of their health, finances, and life in general, together as one and now she gets to rest and enjoy time with her mother and father until John joins her in the heavens.  They had one “Miracle Child” – Anastasia and she and Bonnie were the best of friends in all that they did.
Bonnie enjoyed many things in this life but nothing was more precious than watching her only daughter grow to become an accomplished artist and author.  Gladly she was able to see Anastasia release two books and to sell her many talents (Art & Books) all over the world.
Bonnie’s second greatest enjoyment in life was anything fun with family and friends.  Having fun, wild times, and having loads of laughs mixed with silliness were her trademark.
She will be missed by all that ever knew her.
