Blayne Baker Sr.

Salt Lake City, Utah-Our beloved Father, Husband, Son, and Brother Blayne Clinton Baker Sr. passed away on November 16, 2015 from Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was diagnosed on November 11, 2015. We celebrate his life which was filled with happiness, laughter, family and love.
Blayne Clinton Baker Sr. was born on March 2, 1963 to Richard Lester Baker and Harriett Marlene Empey, at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He fulfilled an LDS Spanish speaking mission in Washington D.C. from 1982-1984. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Psychology in 1988.
Blayne married Kimberly Marie Harrington on September 4, 1985. Together they had four beautiful children; Chelsea Marie Baker, Kylee Nicole Baker, Blayne Clinton Baker Jr. and Terra Elizabeth Baker. Kimberly preceded him in death. On October 17, 1998, he married Cami Lynn Candland and brought Kylie Lynn Casper into the family.
He was an outstanding husband, father, son, and brother. His pride and joy of life were his children and family. Together they created a lifetime of memories, including family boating trips, Sunday dinners, and constant laughter. Those who knew him have fond memories of his delicious, creative culinary delights and his charismatic personality. Blayne’s love and energy touched the hearts of everyone he met, making even strangers feel special. He had an exceptional ability to make people laugh and was known for his comical jokes. He had a zest for life unlike many and he will truly be missed.
He is survived by his wife Cami Lynn Baker, his five children Chelsea Marie Baker, Kylee Nicole Baker, Blayne Clinton Baker Jr., Terra Elizabeth Baker, Kylie Lynn Casper, his mother Harriett Marlene Baker and his three siblings, Bradley Lester Baker (Holly), Brent Richard Baker (Gae) and Tiffani Marlene Baker Farnell (Chris).
He is preceded in death by his late wife Kimberly Marie Harrington and his father Richard Lester Baker.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM. All services will be held at the Telford LDS Ward, located at 1834 E. Creek Road in Sandy, Utah. Interment held at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery. A memorial fund has been set up under Blayne Baker Memorial Fund at America First Credit Union.
