Blaine Stewart Speakman, 39 passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2020. He was born on March 10, 1981 in Murray Utah to Alton and Susan Speakman.
Blaine attended Hunter High School and graduated with the class of 1999 where he also played football. He received his Eagle Scout at the age of 13 years old. Blaine was very patriotic and loved the scouting program. Blaine served honorably in the Baltimore Maryland Mission. He was a huge fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. Blaine enjoyed reading and camping with his parents. At a young age Blaine was interested in working on cars and could be found in the garage with his dad. He enjoyed woodworking and made a few furniture pieces for his parents’ home, he wished that he could have pursued this hobby more.
He is Survived by his father Alton Speakman, his brother Bob (Jennifer) Speakman and his two nephews Zack and Gavin Speakman.
He is preceded in death by his mother Susan Speakman and his Grandparents Boyd and Louise Helquist.
Due to the landscape of the COVID-19 virus, the Federal Government and the CDC have limited all gatherings to a maximum of 10 people. With the nature of things, the services will be held privately by the Speakman family. However, Memorial Mortuaries and Cemeteries is offering a free live-stream of the graveside service on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM for friends and family to participate from home. Interment will be held at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. To join the live-stream of the services, please see the instructions below. The Speakman family will hold a public Celebration of Blaine’s Life which will be announced a later date.
