Blaine Clarence Horton, Age 90, passed away December 25, 2015. Married Dorisa Amanda Waters on April 24, 1947 later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Proud parents of children: Sandra Andrus (Rick), Stephen Horton ( Denise), Shauna Larsen (John), D. Scott Horton (Christi), Sheila Anderson (Drew), sixteen Grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren, and six Great-Great Grandchildren.
A country boy at heart, Blaine loved nature. Many hours of hunting and fishing were spent with his family enjoying the outdoors. An Eagle Scout himself, he became Scout Master and spent many years mentoring young people at his side. He shared his love and talents by teaching all he could to respect and love nature and God as he did.
Prior to ownership of Midway Diesel in Salina Utah, he was employed for many years by Cummins Intermountain Diesel.
A WWII Veteran, Blaine received numerous medals, including Sharp Shooter and a Purple Heart for his valiant service to the Nation.
He will be remembered with great admiration and love by all.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Estates 6500 S. Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT Saturday January 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Viewing held one hour prior to service and Friday January 1, 2016 from 6-8 PMService Information
