Blain Willard Christensen

Blain Willard Christensen, son to Willard and Valma Christensen born on June 5, 1941 . He passed away on June 6, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
He lived on the West side of SLC, UT for most of his life. He joined the Army but was declined only to be later drafted in 1966 to Vietnam where he served his country with pride until his Honorable Discharge in 1972. He later married the love of his life Betty-Lee on June 15 1968. They had 4 children Kim-Marie Kern (Jason), Mark Christensen (Melinda), Christian Christensen, Wendi-Kay Gabaldon (Guy).
He loved everything about the outdoors. Whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, looking for deer, or just going for a Sunday drives. If he wasn’t outdoors you would find him listening to country music.
He was devoted to his family. If you weren’t with him, he would call or just showed up, out of the blue to see how we were all doing. He loved spending time with all of us. He was sadden to leave behind his wife, 4 kids, 14 grandkids, 9 great grandkids, sisters Uyvonne and Adele, and brother Gerry and many and I mean many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, Levern, Donna, Dorlene, Avenda, Levere, Glee, Carlyle.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday June 9, 2017 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A Viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and one hour prior to services at the mortuary. A funeral procession will follow services to the Molen City Cemetery.
