Bing departed from this world on January 25, 2015. He was born on February 26, 1977 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Roy Owen and Laura Agnes Jensen Drew.
Bing grew up learning to love his siblings, work, and have fun. He also learned naturally at a young age to be a salesperson. He could sell anything from rocks to ideas to yard care services around the neighborhood. This natural ability would later serve him in many ways. He loved spending time with family and friends usually “riding”. First it was big wheels, then skis, bikes, snowboards, motorcycles, wakeboards, snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, surf boards, paragliding and more. He was always up for a good time.
Bing was a hard worker and hard at play. He was always looking to do and make things better or bigger. Whether it be a larger wake behind the boat or hotter water from his work equipment or more air off a jump, he was constantly seeking improvement and perfection.
Bing married Heather on November 8th 1995 and Dakota was born in 2001 followed by Sierra in 2004. His children brought him so much joy and he loved spending time with them watching them grow.
Survived by his Father; Mother; Son Dakota Bing (13); Daughter Sierra Kaitlynn (10) and their loving mother Heather Marie Chapin; brothers: Doyle Dean, Roy Scott (Jessica Lyn), Richard Alan ; Sisters: Christal Lynn, Calise Laurie Rhone (Jay), and, last but not least, his fiancée Shelley Fast.
Preceded in death by grandparents: Paul Wesley Drew, Louise Smalley Drew; Joseph Doyle Jensen, Catherine Kirby Jensen; Roland Raoul Boucher, Elizabeth Smalley Boucher.

Bing’s Life Sketch
Paul Bing Drew was born the 26th of February 1977 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Roy Owen and Laura Agnes Jensen Drew. He was their first of six children, and was followed by 3 brothers, Doyle Dean, Roy Scott and Richard Alan, and then by 2 sisters, Christal Lynn and Calise Laurie in named order.
Bing was named after his paternal grandfather, Paul Wesley Drew, and his great uncle Roland Rauol Boucher who was affectionately called “Bing,” from his high school days. This wonderful uncle and his good wife, Elizabeth (Betty), served as Roy’s parents after Paul Wesley went down in PBY plane with 11 others in the Pacific, all of whom were never found. Roy’s mother, Louise, was Betty’s next older sister and was admitted with manic-depression (now known as bipolar disorder) and stayed in the Massachusetts State Hospital for almost 25 years, shortly after her husband Paul was declared “dead.”
When Bing was in his mid-twenties, he was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder. By then he had already been awarded at his 5 year Hillcrest High reunion with the award for the most jobs worked, 25, and was successfully operating his own flood restoration and carpet cleaning business, based on the “You win / I win” philosophy. He was also a husband to Heather and father of Dakota and Sierra and became his own general contractor for his family’s beautiful, large new home that houses his businesses and personal vehicles and equipment.
When he was almost 2 years old, he was already getting around the neighborhood and even went on a big-wheel trike ride with Nicki, a neighbor his age, more than 4 blocks to an intersection with a traffic light before being found by a neighbor. In the Salt Lake Valley, 8 blocks is roughly a mile. About this same time, Bing was “selling” rocks to the neighbors.
Bing grew up learning to ski at 5 years and later taught himself to snowboard and was an expert at both and loved getting “big air” and turning in the “steep and deep.” He loved to ride motorcycles, played golf, drove and flew RC, jumped from an airplane and soared with Para-gliders. He owned a boat and loved wake boarding and wake surfing. He also learned with his friend Nicki’s husband how to hydro foil. He especially liked sharing these sports with his brothers and any family member he could persuade.
At 16 he worked 10.5 months for Youth Development Enterprises, in Maui, Hawaii. He learned hard work picking pineapple and earned about 1.5 years of high school credit.
He took Impact Training courses and assisted many others in their courses. He is responsible for the enrollment of numerous others, including his parents, a brother and sister. He made many friends there and elsewhere and is loved by most everyone who knew him.
When he found the common treatments for bipolar disorder left him “flat” as a “fish out of water” he tried non-traditional remedies. Some worked better than others, but he kept on for several years and faced and conquered his challenges more often than not. Unfortunately, he could not conquer his last challenge of a broken heart. Bing died on January 25, 2015.
God loves you very much, Bing, as do all of us, your family, including Shelley and friends.
