Billie Jo Curtis passed away on August 16, 2024. She was born on December 22, 1947, in Allegany, Maryland, where she lived for many years. She later moved to Akron, Ohio, and then to Kearns, Utah, in the early 1980s.
Billie married Steve Para, later divorced, and then married Norman Curtis in Indianola, Utah, on June 2, 2007.
Billie had a huge heart filled with wisdom, love, and grace. She enjoyed music, dancing, cooking, baking, and all animals. She and Norman had many special pets over the years, currently two dogs (Charlie and Bella). She loved family and giving warm hugs, thoughtful words, and, when needed, harsh truths. More than anything, she loved to serve others.
On June 2, 2013, she chose to be baptized and had a strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Billie and Norman were sealed in the Jordan River LDS Temple on January 10, 2015.
Preceded in death by her parents (Billy Raymond Purl and Ruthelien Coulson), daughter (Dawn Strader), and grandson (Brandon Dixon). She is survived by her son (Anthony Para), stepchildren (Julie Tanner (Chance), Michelle Oviatt (David), Jennifer Roth (Dustin), Jeffrey Curtis and Michael Curtis), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family is thankful to many for all the support, especially to granddaughter Destiny Sprague (Chris) for the extra love and care leading up to Billie's passing.
