Bill Wenerstrom

Bill Wenerstrom our loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on April 17, 2019, at the age of 75. He was born August 4, 1943 in Murray, Utah to Shirley Eskelsen and William Wenerstrom.
He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Bonnie Bennett, the love of his life, on April 18, 1965. He could fix anything and was a genius when it came to cars. He had a huge love of baseball and softball and established friendships on the ball field that lasted a lifetime. He won several leagues, tournaments and awards throughout his years playing softball. He played softball until he was 72 years old. At the age of 40 he won the MVP award in a softball tournament in Heber, Utah. He was inducted into the Utah Softball Hall of Fame in 1985. He played in the Huntsman World Senior Games for 14 years where he won several medals and one outstanding offensive player medal.
He is survived by his daughter Rhonda (Jim) Bolster, son Scott (Shannon), 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie, his daughter Stephanie, his parents, and his brothers Chad, Ronald and Rick.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24th 2:00 PM at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Redwood Memorial Mortuary and one hour prior to funeral services. Interment will follow at the same location.
