Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, died July 21, 2014. Raised in Colorado, served in WWII, in the Pacific Theatre, was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart, and among the first military to witness the atomic bomb devastation in Japan. Returning to Colorado, met and married Gloria, his lifetime love.
Graduate of University of Utah, was Adjudicator for the State of Utah. Always an advocate for human rights, a member of Disabled American Veterans, Director for People with Disabilities for Utah Catholic Diocese. He enjoyed travel, spending time with family, passing down his core values of integrity and unconditional love. Survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Mark (Wow), Christine (Richard) Hansen, Brian (Jill); Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, Ronald.
Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent De Paul Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. No flowers please.
