Beverly Elaine Ross passed away early Friday morning Oct. 8th, 2015.
Beverly was born December 8th, 1932 in Brigham City, Utah, to Daniel and Thelma Rigby Ross. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the Lord. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel, and served in many callings throughout her life. She lived most of her adult life in her home in Sugarhouse, Utah. She served a full-time mission to Japan and attended Brigham Young University, where she was a BYU Cougar-ette, and where she earned her teaching certificate. She taught 1st grade at Uintah Elementary for over 30 years. After she retired, she moved to Centerville, Utah to be close to her sister Maxine Ross Passey.
She grew up in a family that had a great love for music, and loved to be a part of her family orchestra in her early years, which played all over the valley. She had a great love of the movies, and could talk about the “classics” for hours. She accumulated quite a collection of her favorite old time movies, as well as many of the films of today. Her mind was very sharp, and she endured to the end. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Daniel and Thelma Ross, her sister Maxine Passey, and her brothers Karl and Merrill Ross. A viewing will be held on Tuesday Oct. 13th, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Mortuary, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah, followed by a graveside service.
