Beverly Jean Torgersen

Beverly Jean Torgersen passed peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 2018. She is now able to rejoin her eternal partner who has been waiting for three years to be reunited. Mom was born June 6, 1930, in Salt Lake City to Byron and Ronella Turner. She attended South High School and then Westminster College, where she was active as a student body officer. She graduated with a teaching degree and went on to teach PE at Murray High School. Mom thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandkids in all of their activities as long as she was able to, even traveling out of town to see some of the events. She worked right along with Dad to build their beautiful cabin in the mountains, and maybe Dad went ahead to build her another one in the hereafter that she can decorate. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, parents, mother and father-in-law, and brother and sister-in-law. She is survived by her children David and Anita Torgersen, Deb Torgersen, Byron and Beckie Torgersen, Jay and Talli Torgersen, Ruth and Mike Mavrakis and sons, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to the ladies at Procare Hospice and especially all of the 4th floor staff at Brookdale for their loving care of mom. A viewing will be held at the Bountiful 31st Ward (585 E Center Street, Bountiful) on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to funeral services at noon. Interment will be at Memorial Lakeview Cemetery.
