Beverly Jean Fox Mathis

Beverly Jean Fox Mathis, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2017, in South Jordan, UT. She was born April 1, 1930, in Salt Lake City, UT to Hugh & Lillian Donkin Fox. She married Kenneth C. Mathis on July 7, 1948.
On their 30th wedding anniversary Kenneth & Beverly were sealed for all time & eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Beverly’s greatest joy was her family. She wanted nothing more than love and togetherness for all of them. She loved doing genealogy work and asked that it be continued after her death.
She loved to serve people in various capacities. Beverly loved to walk, most times up to five miles a day. That, combined with her steady diet of Lay’s potato chips & Diet Coke made her life complete. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Brown, Karen (Dee) Ekins, Kelvin Mathis, Kristine (Rick) Rasmussen, & Kaylynne (Garry) Westley, & many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Hugh and Lillian Fox, husband; Kenneth C. Mathis, siblings: Raymond O. Fox and Marjorie Bird, sons-in-law: Leslie W. Jardine and Gregory J. Brown, grandsons: Justin J. Brown and Travis D. McMillan.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the South Jordan 3rd Ward house located at 9750 S 2200 W, South Jordan, UT at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, January 3, 2018, 9 to 10:30 a.m., prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Road, following services.
