Beverly B. Mudd

March 7, 1932 — February 1, 2021

Beverly Mudd peacefully passed away on Monday, Feb 1, 2021 surrounded by her children. She was born to Arvle and Sylvia Buttars on March 7, 1932 in Logan, Utah. Beverly was the third daughter and was lovingly raised on their family farm in Clarkston, Utah. Her sisters Darlene, Colleen, and Pat have all preceded her in death.
She married Ross Thompson and had three children: Brad, Melanie, and Lorelei. Later divorced, she married Robert Benjamin Mudd and had two more girls: Roberta and Alison.
Beverly moved to SLC and put herself through nursing school while raising her children as a single mother. Beverly was always very self-sufficient as a single mother and worked as a nurse for over 50 years. She lived in the avenues with her three children and walked to Holy Cross Hospital where she worked. She then worked at Cottonwood Hospital and continued to raise five children. Beverly had an amazing listening ear that drew people to her. She loved the gospel and served valiantly in her church callings throughout the years. She enjoyed quilting, canning, genealogy, and being with family. She loved playing SORRY and was ALWAYS Yellow! She had the most beautiful head of white hair, like an angel and stunning baby blue eyes.
Beverly is survived by her son Brad (Wendy) Thompson, daughters Melanie (David) Hedgpeth, Lorelei (Paul) Adamson, Roberta (John) Catmull, Alison (Tom) Knapp, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many hands that helped take care of Beverly, Elevation Home Health and Hospice, Golden Living Center, and Welcome Home Assisted Living.
