Betty Lou Beason Ellis

“Together Again”
Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep and reunited with her high school sweetheart on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Betty was born on September 19, 1932 in Ennis, Montana to Harry LeRoy Beason and Grace Folkman. She grew up in South Eastern Idaho and North Eastern Utah. She married Richard E Ellis on January 26, 1951 and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on July 15, 1952. They had six children. Betty loved to sew and made four of her daughter’s wedding dresses. She also loved to quilt and all things homemaking. All 99 and half grandchildren and great grandchildren each had a special place in her heart. Betty loved to travel across the country with her husband and children due to military life. She served her church in various callings. She was relief society president, young women’s president, primary president, and served three service missions with Richard. Betty and Richard served a mission to the Family History Center in Salt Lake City. She loved genealogy. She loved to serve her church in any way she could. Betty is survived by her children, Ronda (Ed) Patten, Evonna (Jack) Lauber, Barbara (Roy) Tippetts, Richard Ellis, Carma (David) Boyce, Christina (Scott) Parkin; 99 grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers John Robert Gough, Edward Gough, Bill Gough, and sister Linda Nelson, and one sister in law Roberta Ellis Earick, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, one sister and three brothers, three granddaughters, one grandson, and one great grandson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, 11:00 AM with a viewing from 9:00 to 10:45 AM, at Sun Ridge Ward, 5442 South Sarah Jane Drive, Kearns, Utah. Interment to follow at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
