Betty Julia Montag

Betty Julia Montag, age 89, passed away on Monday, February 6, of heart failure.  She was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Harry Montag in the LDS Temple, and together they had four children.
She was an active member of the LDS church, loved spending time with family, crocheting and sewing clothing for children and grandchildren, and hosting family parties. Betty would never hesitate to open her door and heart to those who needed it. She was a very outgoing, sweet, loving woman with an amazing outlook on life. She had many friends and family who will miss and keep her in their memories. When Betty got sick she was very hurt due to the fact that she could no longer do any of the things she loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen Singer; son, William Montag; granddaughter, Phyllis Singer; grandson, Harry Albert Singer; 5 other grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Montag; and son, James Montag.
A viewing will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. Interment will be at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S Vine St, Murray, Utah.
