Murray, Utah-Betty Jean Beeny Coult passed away January 31, 2014 at home surrounded by her loved ones after a short battle with cancer. She was born March 8, 1929 in Murray, Utah to Arthur Beeny and Mable Davies Beeny. Betty was a very sweet loving woman who would help anyone that asked. She loved playing dominos, crocheting and most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent most of her life in Murray with her husband Bill W. Coult. The two of them met in Murray, fell in love, and married on September 5, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. Betty and Bill had nine children they nurtured to adulthood and after the sudden death of their daughter Pat, they took on the challenge of raising Pat’s three young daughters. They have raised and taught twelve children what love, kindness, responsibility, and family are. She should be very proud of what she has accomplished in her life time. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughters Pat and Janice, brothers and sisters. Betty is survived by her husband Bill, and ten of twelve children she raised Kathy of West Jordan, Annette (Gary) of West Valley, Dan (Sue) of Tooele, Robyn (Dennis) of Livingston Texas, Art (Rosie) of Manti, Judy (Rick) of Murray, Joe of Ogden, Tracie (Jeff), Becky, and Shannon (Trace) all of Murray, 20 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, and sister Shirley Hart of Sandy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the Riverside 1st ward 5425 S. 600 W. A viewing will be held from 6-8 Tuesday at Murray Memorial Mortuary 5850 S 900 E and one hour prior to services.
