Betty McMurtrey Carrington, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 7, 2015. She was born August 27, 1941. She grew up in Murray, UT where she graduated from Murray High School. She attended the University of Utah.
Betty worked at Grand Central and K-Mart as a Toy Manager; then later worked for Nu-Art lighting for 30 years.
Her biggest accomplishment in life was her family. She loved being around and playing with her grand-children as much as possible. She loved to work outside in her yard and took great pride in her beautiful flowers. She was the most kind-hearted and loving person who always looked for the good in others.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Carrington and her 4 children, Todd (Jeri) Madsen, Chris (Lianna) Madsen, Paige Carrington, Shane (Brendy) Carrington, 11 grandchildren and one brother, Steven (Toni) McMurtrey. She is preceded in death by her mother Connie and step-father, Charles Crossen, and her oldest granddaughter, Maquelle Madsen.
Services will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at Lake Hills Memorial at 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah with a viewing from 12-2 PM and a graveside service to follow.
