Betty Lou Taylor Anderson, 97, of Kearns, Utah, passed away peacefully on 11/14/2024 at home surrounded by family. Born on April 10, 1927, to Myrtle and Robert Taylor, Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great grandmother and friend. She lived a life filled with devotion to her family, her crafts, and the many people she touched along the way.
Betty married the love of her life, Dean Anderson, on December 19, 1946, and together they raised five children, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and dedication to their family.
Betty had many passions throughout her life, including quilting, crocheting, and baking. She was known for her beautiful handmade quilts, cherished by all who received them, and her delicious baked goods, which filled her spotless home with warmth. A lover of card games, Betty enjoyed countless hours of friendly competition, whether with family or friends.
Betty was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she faithfully served in numerous callings .Her spirit strength and resliance were remarkable.. Betty faced life’s challenges with grace and determination, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her family will forever remember her as a kind, loving matriarch who was deeply devoted to those she loved.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, 11 siblings, 3 grandchildren, Stacy, Chris and Eric, great grandson Jaden and daughter in law JoAnn. She is survived by her five children: Randy (Cindee), Joan Call, Jackie (Tom) Pitcher, Janine May & Rhett, 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren all of whom were blessed to know her love and warmth.
Betty will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, craftsmanship, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her.
A memorial service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at Redwood Memorial Mortuary And Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood road, West Jordan, Utah 84123 on Thursday November 21, 2024 at 11:00 am, with a visitation an hour prior.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.
