Bernice Olivia Lopez, a beloved matriarch and devoted Christian, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, in Riverton, Utah. Born on May 1, 1930, in Wellington, Utah to Felix and Fay Mansanarez, Bernice lived a life rich with love and service that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her cherished husband Joe C. Lopez and her parents Felix and Fay Mansanarez as well as her siblings-Manuel, Felix, William Mansanarez; Maria Espinoza; Rudy Mansanarez; Joe A. Mansanarez; Joe Jesse Mansanarez; Susie Mansanarez-and granddaughter Aubrhea Lopez-Bernice leaves behind an enduring legacy through her family. 

She is survived by her brother Victor his wife (Cecelia) Mansanarez along with her children: Arcita Lopez; Phoebe Montanez; Steven Lopez (spouse) Rhonda Lopez; Gary Lopez (spouse) Deborah Lopez. Her grandchildren include Chad López (spouse) Kara López; Ty Montanez; Eric López (spouse) Denise López; Telly Montanez (spouse) Deeann Montanez; Jisan Ricketts (spouse) Shawn Ricketts as well as Kyle López (spouse) Monica López. She also leaves behind Darianne Tesch (spouse) David Tesch, Noel Kelton (spouse) Peter Kelton. Zoe López-and thirteen great-grandchildren who will carry forward the warmth of her spirit. 

Bernice dedicated over twenty years each to Mountain Bell and The University of Utah Hospital before retiring-a testament to both her work ethic and commitment to serving others. In retirement she found joy in listening to Jimmy Swaggart while reading the Bible-a reflection of her deep faith which guided every aspect of her life. 

A woman known for being incredibly giving, Bernice made it a priority to ensure that those she loved were always taken care of. Family gatherings were filled with laughter thanks to Bernice's nurturing nature-the glue that held everyone together through thick or thin. 

Funeral services will be held at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary located at 10055 S State St., Sandy, Utah. A viewing will take place at 11:00 AM followed by chapel services at 1:00 PM. Friends are invited for a luncheon afterward at Iglesia Viva Church located at 1055 N Redwood Rd., Salt Lake City beginning at 4:00 PM. 

As we remember Bernice Olivia Lopez today-not just for the dates etched upon our calendars but for the countless moments shared-we celebrate a remarkable woman whose love was boundless like the sky above us.
