Benny Lewis Jarvis went to Heaven surrounded by his family on February 10, 2020 at the age of 85 in West Jordan, Utah. He was born on March 15, 1934 to Spencer Abraham Jarvis and Blanche McMullin in South Jordan, Utah. He married Deon Peck on April 3, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later solemnized in The Salt Lake Temple.
Benny served in the United States Navy Reserves. The Jarvis family shared many memories at their beloved cabin that they purchased in 1972. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and acrylic painting. He owned two paint stores: Holladay Color Center and Granger Color Center. Benny immersed himself into the Holladay Community and was involved in several town activities through the years. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his children and their children.
He is survived by his wife, Deon Peck Jarvis, children Penny (Randy) Erskine, Jill (Rick) Pilcher and son-in-law David Pilcher, Dennis Jarvis, and Robyn (Dallas) Giles, nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, sister Colleen Knott, and best furry friend, Molly.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, and two brothers Warren Jarvis and Burt Jarvis.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Interment to follow at the same location.
