Bennett Bernard Stone

June 20, 1936 — December 20, 2021

Our beloved Bennett Bernard Stone peacefully passed away December 20, 2021 in the presence
of his loving family. Bennett was born in Ogden, Utah on June 20, 1936 to Bernard and Ruby
Stone. He was the oldest brother to Frank and Ronald Stone.
Honest, upstanding, trusting and always generous, he touched all our hearts with his warm and
gentle soul. Teaching us many wonderful things with his warm and strong heart, Bennett will be
dearly missed by all.
Bennett is survived by his loving wife, Rita Stone, his sweetheart. They loved exercising together
and were inseparable. They loved to travel.
His family life filled his heart with love, playfulness and kindness toward all. Survived by his
three children; Edward, Eugene, and Michelle Stone. Step children; Deb, Sue, Shauna, Sheryl,
and Pam. He was deeply adored by his step children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He loved being called “Grandpa” and played Donald Duck games every chance he had.
His love for adventure really began at the age of 19 where he boarded The Queen Mary ship to London with a few hundred dollars in the pocket of his coat.
In England, young Bennett purchased a motorcycle and spent the following months traveling throughout Europe. He loved sharing this story. This is where he became an expert of maps.
Bennett graduated from Weber State College with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Electronic Engineering Technology. He also served our nation as a United States Army Soldier, where he stationed in Japan. His life time career  with the Federal Aviation Administration gave him  full retirement benefits after decades of loyal service. He was also an entrepreneur using his skills to seek out ideal real estate markets, investing in multiple apartment complexes and managing their operations.
He followed his heart and fulfilled his dreams of having a full loving family, a winter home in
Lake Havasu, and his lifelong dream of flight.
One of his last adventures was driven by his passion for flight. Even at the age of 72 he bought a new 2 seat aircraft and enjoyed several hours of peaceful serenity in the blue skies above Lake Havasu Arizona.
Until we see you again, soar high.
