Beau Stephen Penton

Beau Stephen Penton (48) passed away on March 10, 2022 in Murray Utah. Born November 10, 1973 in Tucson, Arizona to Stephen and Margie Penton. He attended University of Arizona and got his Bachelors in Nursing degree.
He grew up in Tucson and enjoyed being best friends with his brother Sean. He was the best nerd of all time. We will always remember Star Wars, Tron, Robotech and Top Gun.
He met Asia Dalton-Brown and married May 1999. They moved to Utah and became parents of their greatest, most loved and cherished daughter Sage on October 21 2002. They later divorced. Years later he met his partner Candice Simpkins September 2014. It was love at first sight. Beau gained his bonus daughter Daesha and they all became a blended family. The family of 4 enjoyed so many adventures, including many visits to Las Vegas and Disneyland, the favorite vacation was to Hawaii to see his best friend Jen get married. Beau and Candice got married November 21 2019 and planned love like The Princess Bride with True Love and As You Wish.
Beau found his calling by becoming an RN for children at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He worked in the PICU for 17 years. He was known to be one of the greatest PICU nurses of all time, He genuinely cared about every child he and their families, he helped the kids recover or supported the families to say goodbye as their children were sent to heaven. Beau transferred to the Transplant Unit and became a kidney coordinator. This was some of the best 5 years of being a nurse. The bonds he had with these kids and families was amazing.
Beau had a stroke February 14 2022 and this event caused some changes in him. He struggled with daily activities and from being the main driver, caregiver and rock of the family to needing help was a struggle. You are TWO TIMES more likely to die by suicide after a stroke. We will honor Beau and make changes in discharge from strokes. We will make sure there is better info for the patients and families. We will save lives in Beaus’ honor.
He is survived by his wife, Candice, daughters Sage (Ryan) and Daesha. His brother Sean (Leeseajean), his mother Margie Penton. Many nieces and nephews (we mean MANY) a great nephew. His friends, family, patients and co-workers. He’s proceded in death by his father Stephen Penton.
The family needs time to process and heal from this tragedy. We will be having a celebration of life announced at a later time. One in Salt Lake City and one in Tucson. Please follow
