Barney Nielson

Barney Ray Nielson left this world on February 24, 2015. He was born on January 7, 1934 to Paul and LaRue Nielson in Huntington, Utah. He spent most of his life practicing dentistry in Saratoga, California. Barney was an adventurer and a world-class mountain climber who scaled peaks on many continents including Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, Mt. McKinley in Alaska and peaks in Peru and France. He was a man who traveled the world and loved the great outdoors.
He is survived by his daughters Patti (Kevin) Smith of Los Gatos, CA; Kim (Mike) Jackson of Sunnyvale, CA; and Jodi (Steve) Emmenecker of Novi, MI; sister, Kathy Van Wyngaarden of SLC, UT; nephew, Tony Adamson of Franklin, TN and three grandchildren.
