Barbara Coey Behunin Isaacson passed away peacefully on September 22, 2018 at the age of 96. She was born May 20, 1922 in Sigurd, Utah to William C. and Julia Ann Buchanan Behunin. She was the youngest of her parents’ twelve children and the last to survive. Barbara was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She married William Andrew Leo Isaacson on March 12, 1941 in Taylorsville, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She is proceeded in death by her husband, son Roger, and daughter Lana Dee Hall. She is survived by daughter Sandra Debaisieux (Patrick), and four sons, N. Scott (Shawna), Kelly (Jan), Terry (Jackie) and Scott A. She has 20 grandchildren, 45 Great Grandchildren and 16 Great-Great Grandchildren. With her husband she served an LDS Mission in Portland Oregon in 1989 and was anxiously engaged in serving in many positions in the church throughout her life. She proudly sang in ward and stake choirs for 40+ years. Her interests in life were her family, the church, teaching the gospel, singing, writing poetry, and she loved the great outdoors – particularly the mountains where she spent as much time as possible camping, fishing and hunting. She passed that love on to her children and family. She was an accomplished artist – painting mostly outdoor scenes which can be found in the homes of loved ones. She also had a passion for traveling and seeing new places. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 29th at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary – 6500 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.Service Information
