Our beloved, precious, sweet mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend Barbara Mae Taylor Baudack passed into the arms of her loving Father in Heaven peacefully on September 23, 2016 at the age of 91. Rejoining her loving Heavenly and earthly parents, husband, sisters, brothers and other loved ones. She leaves behind a lifetime of love and service.
Barbara was born May 2, 1925, the daughter of Jarred Leroy and Della Mae Cox Taylor of Orangeville, UT, the third of seven brothers and sisters. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1945 working at the Desert News Bindery and Rocky Mountain Bank Note Company. In 1947 she met Frank William Baudack and were married June 3, 1949. Blessed with two daughters who alongside her husband raised and loved with all their hearts.
Barbara loved her Savior and was an active member of the LDS church. She had a strong testimony and was true and faithful to all her covenants. She lived and served faithfully in many church callings over the years, her devotion to her savior Jesus Christ was the guiding principle in her life. She was passionate about family history where she devoted her time faithfully twice a week at the family history center and served as the librarian of the Little Cottonwood 9th ward for 32 years.
Barbara loved being at home cooking, canning, gardening, sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting, never one to sit idle. She made many quilts and baby blankets for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. For the last three years she crocheted baby blankets and donated 114 to the area hospitals for the preemie babies with heartfelt love.
Barbara loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, she will be greatly missed and treasured, holding a special place in each of our hearts forever, a true example of charity, compassion, strength, faith and tender loving care for all, a legacy of love leaving a lifetime of memories for all to cherish. She loved and was loved by all who knew her.
Survived by her two daughters, Shirlee (Allan) Andersen, Phyllis (Tom) Davis, eight grandchildren, Ryan (Megan) Andersen, Rebecca Andersen, Stephanie (Ali) Ghazvini, Clayton Andersen, Corbin (Heidi) Andersen, Greg Andersen, Erica (Travis) Ferran, Monica (Kenny) Hilton, 12 great grandchildren, Nya, Keira, Chloe and Tate Andersen, Noah, Cameron and Luke Ghazvini, Kylie, Ryleigh and Nicholas Ferran, Kayden and Jacey Hilton, brother Chester Vaughn Taylor of Las Vegas, NV.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, two sisters Carol Taylor and Betty Taylor Dimick, three brothers, Dean, Jack and Geary Taylor and great granddaughter, Olivia Andersen.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Memorial Mt. View Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Bengal Blvd.) A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Mortuary as well as one hour prior to the services. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.
