Barbara Alene Christensen

Barbara Alene Christensen, 87, died on June 20, 2021 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born December 23, 1933 in Murray, Utah to Alice Lucille Maxfield and Marinus Earl Johnson. She married Ronald Bryant Christensen on April 6, 1955 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Barbara graduated from Utah Technical College with an Associates Degree in art. She enjoyed arranging flowers and interior decorating. She also enjoyed gardening. She willingly shared her artistic talents with family, friends, and church.
She is survived by her sister Lucy (Grant) Fairbanks and children Debra (Kent) Miller, Robert (Connie) Christensen, Beverly (Keith) Beal, and Marilyn (Frank) Taylor. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald, Sylvia Morris (sister), Leo Johnson (brother), and Zachary Mayo (grandson).
A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights, Utah, 84121. A graveside service will immediately follow the viewing. The service will also be held virtually using
