Austin Glen Berry

January 13, 1993 — October 22, 2021

Austin Glen Berry, 28, of Cottonwood Heights, Passed away unexpectedly on October 22,
2021. His sudden passing has left his family and friends deeply saddened. He left an indelible
mark on us all and will be missed dearly.
Austin was born on January 13, 1993 to Holly Lynne Berry in Ogden, UT, and met his father,
Michael Richard Berry, 13 years later. Austin graduated from Granite High School in 2011. He
then attended The Other Side Academy, where he met his extended family and learned to live
with honesty and integrity in everything he did. Austin realized his life long dream of driving the
big rigs with Ralph Smith Trucking in 2019 where he became a standout heavy haul driver,
exemplary employee and family member.
Austin was a friend to all animals and loved his pets intensely. He was passionate about cars,
particularly his 2005 Evo. He lived fast and furiously to say the least. He knew no joy greater
than “putting the gap” on unsuspecting fools! He was a connoisseur of fine (and cheap) food.
He learned to con the neighbors out of sandwiches at a young age. Whether he was devouring
a gourmet meal or putting a poor, unsuspecting hot pot restaurant out of business, Austin
reveled in all the worlds gastronomic delights. He was a Pokémon aficionado with a deep
regret of his lost Charmander card. Always quick with a joke and wit as sharp as a razor,
Austin was a true comedian and entertainer with a mischievous sparkle in his eye and a smile
that would melt your heart.
Austin was a loving, kindhearted son, brother, grandson and friend. His love of family and
friends was unwavering. His smile was illuminating and his sense of humor brought incredible
joy to everyone who had the privilege to be a part of his life. He was a support system to so
many friends in their time of need, all the while never divulging his own struggles. His kindness
touched the hearts of everyone in his path, which is a rare quality in todays world. The only
consolation for those he left behind is that we stood by our “Buddy” and our steadfast love for
him was made clear every day he was on this earth.
Austin is survived by his parents, Holly and Mike, sisters, Brooke and Jessica, brother in-law
Michael, Grandfather, Arvil, Grandmothers, Sharon and Marijayne and numerous aunts, uncles
and cousins as well as his family from The Other Side Academy. He was preceded in death by
his Grandmother Leah, close friends Eric and Robert and his giant schnauzer Axyl.
