‘Atelaite Angilau

‘ATELAITE SIULOLOVAO TU’IFUA ANGILAU (78) peacefully left this mortal world Friday March 28th, 2014 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was the granddaughter of Tauelangi Kefu Tu’ifua and Melemoala Tengeifekai both of Tatakamotonga, and the maternal granddaughter of Sioeli Latumailangi Ma’atu of Niuatoputapu and Hon. Kalolaine Lataifalefehi ‘Ahome’e of Ha’avakatolo. Her parents are Feliha’a Tutoe Tu’ifua and ‘Ofaki’uvea Latumailangi, and her loving stepmother Puleilangite Moa. Siulolovao was born September 8, 1935 in Tatakamotonga, Tonga. She had two older siblings, and seventeen other siblings. She attended Queen Salote College and Liahona High School. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Vilisoni Angilau also of Tatakamotonga, and together fulfilled their dreams of serving three consecutive missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1972, their family was sealed in the Laie Hawaii Temple. Mom loved the Lord. She believed in simplicity and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read to her children and write in her journals. Mom will always be remembered for her wisdom, her talent for composing and dancing, her beautiful smile, and her giving nature. She is survived by her husband Vilisoni, and all nine of their children: Siale (Maata), Moeakiola (Tokanga), Teni (Uini), Noma (Kolotau), Tupou’Ahau (Lio), Melevea (Maloni), Vilisoni (Vaisioa), Penisimani (Moala), and Filimone (Elaine); 42 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and counting. We love you Mom, until we meet again. A viewing will be held Thursday April 3, 2014 at 10860 South and 3200 West, South Jordan from 6-10 pm, and Friday, a farewell service from 11 am-1 pm.
