Aselota Tamasese

Aselota Maeina Tamasese, age 78, died February 6, 2014 in West Jordan, Utah. He was born November 22, 1935 in Papauta, Western Samoa to Saialala Lealofiaana Tamasese and Faaninimo Fitiao. He married Lilia Purcell (later divorced). On July 22, 1992 he married Adele Ramona Brunt.
Our Father was always “in the service of others.” He enjoyed working on any project that required him to be hands on, whether it was gardening, repairing or cooking. After graduating from High School, his proudest accomplishments were when he was called to serve in the church as a Counselor in the Sunday School and as a High Priest Group Leader and a Geneology Specialist. He and our mother Adele served a full-time temple mission at the Apia,Western Samoa Temple in 2000-2001. Our father passed actively serving as a Temple worker, a position he was called to in 1997.
Family Funeral Services will be held from 9:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Heritage 11th Ward Chapel, 7336 South 3200 West in West Jordan. The Bishop Services will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at the same location. Interment will follow at Redwood Memorial Park, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan.
