Arthur Lafeber

August 13, 1946 — September 13, 2015

Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our one-of-a-kind father, grandfather, and friend. Art, 69, passed away unexpectedly during a motorcycle accident, doing what he loved. Born in Ogden, UT, he was the oldest of five siblings. He graduated from Bonneville High School and later went on to graduate from Weber State University where he met Janis Jeppson. They married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple and reared three boys. They later divorced and he lived out the rest of his life in Bountiful, UT attending the University of Utah football games, riding his Harley Davidson, fishing in Alaska, working in his garden, playing with his grandchildren, coaching his son’s and grandson’s sports teams, serving in the Bountiful Temple, and the Road Home Shelter. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force Reserves, and retired from Western/Delta airlines. After retirement he continued to work as a Commercial Real Estate Agent and carried on his passion for traveling the world, Hawaii and Alaska being his indisputable favorites. He had a strong testimony of the Savior and we look forward to the day when we can be together again.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Sr. and grandson, Carter. He is survived by his Mother, Mildred; his three sons, Nicholas (Jennifer), Tony (Stacy), Joshua (Ashly); his siblings, Rosie (Craig), Richard (Jill), Becky (Perry), Roger (Dave); and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at the North Canyon Stake Center, 965 E. Oakwood Dr. Bountiful, UT. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Stake Center from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and preceding the funeral at 10:00 am.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations to theroadhome.org would be greatly appreciated.
