Arthur Ah Ching

With a sense of peace and comfort, we share the news of the passing of our dear brother, son, father, and grandfather, Arthur Vern Ah Ching, who peacefully returned to our Heavenly Father on July 10, 2024. He was born on February 7, 1949, in Western Samoa to Vern and Mary Ah Ching. Arthur's life was a testament to love and devotion to his family, especially his parents. 

Arthur was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Arthur found joy in strengthening his relationship with our Father in Heaven. In his free time, Arthur enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sharing his beautiful voice through karaoke. 

Arthur is survived by his mother, Mary Theresa Ah Ching, his three children, Dionne Ah Ching, AJ Ah Ching (Pepe), and Teuila Auva’a (Shawn), as well as his adored grandchildren, Traivaugn, Davian, Kalil (Gabrielle), Dejahre (Edward), Symone, Kamora, Silas, Lyric, Tahj, Kali’i, and Kimani, his siblings, Rosita Jasper(Todd), Phyllis Peters, Lavinia Bertsch (Eric), Vernice Trease (Jory), Christopher Ah Ching (Anita), Angie Peffer (Scott), Arthur's legacy of love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Vern Ah Ching, sister Rubina Godinet, and daughter Penina Ah Ching. 

While we mourn his passing, we take solace in knowing that he is now reunited with his loved ones in the arms of our Savior. 

A viewing to celebrate Arthur's life will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Taylorsville Stake Center located at 4845 S. Woodhaven Rd. Taylorsville, Utah, with funeral services following immediately after 11:00 AM. Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Mortuaries and Cemeteries, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. 

All who were touched by Arthur's life are invited to join us in honoring him. Arthur will forever hold a special place in our hearts. May he rest peacefully until we are reunited once again.
