Arles Keith Hansen

Arles Keith Hansen passed away peacefully in his home in the early morning October 5, 2021. He was born on October 17, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Elmo Hansen and Constance Hansen Dillon. He had three wives in his lifetime, was father to five children, 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, soon to be 2 great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Olympus High School in Holladay, Utah, and attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He managed grocery stores early in his career, worked for Tire Shop Supply in Salt Lake City, founded owned and operated Cal-Teamco in San Francisco, California, founded Quality Forklift in San Jose, California later returning to Salt Lake City to work as a real estate agent working at The Real Estate Connection. Arles was most often the highest producer in these businesses. He helped make them a family business for the people that worked in them.
He could get a job done while others were thinking out the strategy. Arles’s real talent was as a salesperson, understanding and having patience with people. He took pride in his business career and his real estate career. He had a zest for working. He had a love of life. He had a big personality and could take over a room by entering it. He lived life on his terms. For all of those who loved him, he made life more interesting. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, golfing, and boating. He loved his Cadillacs.
Arles was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Thomas L Dillon, his sister Barbara Kay Knowles, his second wife Sue Hansen, his daughter Christie Nukaya, his granddaughter Melissa Nukaya.
Arles is survived by his present wife of 42 years Ruth Mary Hansen, his brother David Hansen, his son Arles Scott Hansen, stepson Charlie Langlois, stepson Morgan J Burns and his spouse Lisa Burns, adopted son Rigan Lewis Hansen, grandson Morgan J Burns, granddaughter Lachelle Mary Burns and her partner Andrew Lopez, great-granddaughter Zoey Jane Lopez.
A Family Viewing will be at 1:00 pm Friday, October 15, 2021, at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 E 7800 S, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121. Lisa Burns will be offering the closing prayer before the casket is closed. The Pallbearers will be David Hansen, Robert Knowles, Morgan J Burns, Rigan L Hansen, Morgan J Burns, Andrew Lopez, Sheldon Lopez.
Following the Viewing at 2:00 pm Friday, October 15, 2021, will be a ‘Celebration of his Life’ at his graveside in Memorial Mountain View Cemetery. The time is devoted to those who wish to participate to talk about Arles or contribute a musical performance in remembrance of him.
