Anthony Hobbs Hadlock, known to most of us as "Tony", passed away on December 19th, 2024, in Layton Utah from heart complications. He was born on August 7th, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ferry and Jennine (Steele) Hadlock.
He married Ailene Duke in 1961. They had three children and later divorced. In 1967, he met Tett, the love of his life. They were married in April 1968 and later sealed in the LDS Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.
Tony graduated from East High School in April 1955. He joined the Army in April 1956 and was stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma as a dental lab specialist. While in the Army, he received many honors, including sharpshooter (rifle) and the medal for good conduct. He was honorably discharged in 1959, then enlisted in the Army Reserve at Fort Douglas Utah, where he served until April 1962. He worked as an instrument mechanic at HAFB from 1960 to his retirement in 1990.
Dad lived life to the fullest and never passed on an opportunity to do something new or fun. He had a fear of missing out and never did! Some of the things he enjoyed the most throughout his life were camping, fishing, waterskiing, racing homing pigeons, fixing up old cars with his sons, specifically Pontiac Firebirds, buffalo, deer, and elk hunts with his family and extended family, trips to Lake Powell, attending the master’s with his boys, and lots of golfing. He built several houses and helped build the family cabin in Fruitland Utah where we shared many happy memories and adventures. Most of all he was known for having a big heart and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need.
Tony is survived by his wife Tett Hadlock, five children, Kevin (Debra) Hadlock, Kathy Hadlock, Kelly Hadlock, Steele (Shelley) Hadlock, and Lark Hadlock, and 4 stepchildren, Mike (Verna) Curry, Matt (Annie) Curry, Laraine (Kip) Fleming, Wendell (Debi) Curry. 33 grandkids, 52 great-grandkids, & 14 great-great-grandkids.
He was preceded in death by both parents, five sisters, two brothers, and one step-grandson.
