Anna Mary Driggers Mccullough

April 2, 1927 — July 28, 2021

Anna Mary Driggers McCullough passed away peacefully, in her sleep on July 20, 2021. Born April 2, 1927, in Tyler, Texas. Anna met the love of her life at a dance in Tyler, a few days before he left for Europe to fight in World War ll. They corresponded while he was away. Towards the end of the war, she received an engagement ring in the mail, and upon his return, they were married and she move to Salt Lake City. Their honeymoon was spent on a greyhound bus.
Mom had many talents and hobbies, including her favorite, bowling. Mom became very involved in her bowling career, and won many tournaments and league championships. She was inducted into the Utah Women’s Bowlers Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening ,quilting, and crochet. She loved to work on puzzles with her neighbors and friends. She spent many hours in her yard gardening, she had a loathing for weeds, she could spot one from clear across the yard. She could grow anything, and a trip to her home was not complete without first visiting her garden. Mom Crochet, and quilted many beautiful items for family and friends, she and her husband spent many hours working on quilts. Mom loved to go fishing, but wouldn’t bait the hooks or remove the fish from them, she was like a kid in the candy store every time she caught a fish, she was very competitive about fishing.
Her biggest love was for her family, visiting with family was always her highlight, she loved spending holidays with them. Her way of showing love was to bake, she made amazing pies and everyone loved her “Texas” banana pudding. Mom loved to make beef jerky for the family for Christmas. The grandkids were always comparing their bags of jerky.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Driggers and Beulah Dark, Her brothers and sisters, and her husband Bill.
She is survived by her sons Kim (Kerry), Kevin (Shelly), grandchildren: Jeremy (Hilary), Melissa (Travis), Rachel (Mike), Brianna, Matthew, Jenna (Greg), Samantha (Austin), Rylee, Gage, and Jacob and 7 Great grandchildren.
Mom will be greatly missed by her family and many, many friends.
