Anna Patmides Kaltsas. Age 76, Born on December 15th, 1937 in Xania Crete, Greece to Triandafilos and Elevtheria Bourdos.
Married to Konstantinos Kaltsas. Peacefully departed on October 20th, 2014.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Very well known to all as γιαγιά. She was very generous, it gave her joy to help others. She came from a family of Tailors and brought her talent to the United States in 1966 where she worked hard to start her own very successful business, Anna’s Tailoring. She was known to Salt Lake City as the best Tailor in town where she had the opportunity to provide excellent service for many celebrities. She passed on her work ethic to her children and grandchildren which they have gratefully instilled into their lives. Also well known for her skills in the kitchen. She stored all of her secret recipes in her head which lives on through her children and grandchildren. She loved to sing. Also enjoyed dancing “The Charleston” with her late husband Michael. Her favorite pass time was to play cards. Anytime she heard anything about a casino her eyes lit up. Later on in life after retirement, her entertainment was “Game Show Network” and “The Greek Channel” (Antenna). She absolutely loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by Pete (Daneen) Patmides, Evgenia (Fili) Vakapuna, Elevtheria Patmides, Amanda (Eric) Winn, Andrew Simeona, Shannon (Jason) Wormsley, Geoffrey (Mia) Patmides, Ana (Tyrone) Taylor, Fili (Elisa-Leslie) Vakapuna, Michael Vakapuna, Alex Patmides, Athina (Semisi) Kavakava, Bria McCloud, Shaundra Scott, and 12 great grandchildren. She was Preceded in death by Michael Patmides (Husband), Aleka DiLauro (Daughter), Ashley and Zachary Patmides (Grandchildren).
Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 27th, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm with prayer service at 7:00pm at Deseret Mortuary (36 East 700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111). Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral (279 South 300 West, Salt Lake City), followed by Interment at Mt Olivet Cemetery (1342 East 700 South, Salt Lake City) immediately followed by Makaria at Holy Trinity.
