Anna Jeanne Lunt Lund Bruderer
1922 ~ 2015
To those who knew her, please be aware that AJ passed away on Memorial Day at the age of 92. In life she opened her arms to embrace many people. In death that same spirit surely goes with her. AJ was born in Cedar City, UT to Myrtle Johnson and George Hunter Lunt. Not long afterwards her family moved to Salt Lake City. She was a graduate of East High School and the University of Utah. While a student at the U, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Marriage to Harold Lund brought them their three children: Claudia, Hank and Mark. When their children were old enough, she entered the workforce, retiring 31 years later in 1986 from the Teacher Personnel Dept of the Utah State Board of Education. A later marriage to Willard Bruderer in 1991 brought them several years of joy as residents of Bountiful, UT and Sun City, AZ. They were blessed to serve a full-time LDS Church Service Mission at the Temple Square Visitors Center in SLC during 1992. AJ outlived both of her husbands and her older brother, Dixon. She is survived by her sisters Louise (Charles Martin, Gilbert, AZ) and Patricia (Gordon Weed, Centerville, UT). Her three children, 12 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren have many fond memories of their “beautiful”, “wonderful”, “caring”, “considerate”, “magical”, “hospitable”, “loving”, “fun”, “concerned”, “worrier”and special lady they call Grandma AJ. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30th at noon in the Bountiful 7th Ward meetinghouse (1250 South Main Street, Bountiful, UT) with a viewing at 11:00 am.
