Ann Elizabeth Cardall Bunting passed away peacefully in her Holladay, Utah, home Tuesday evening, September 17, 2013, surrounded by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and family members.
A musical prodigy, Ann had memorized six full operas by age nine. She established herself as one of the finest sopranos to come out of Utah, singing at Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Opera, the White House for President Dwight Eisenhower, and touring across the United States, Russia, and Western Europe. During the 1950s Ann hosted the popular television show “The Ann Cardall Show” and delighted in sharing music and her beautiful voice with those around her.
Ann loved the colors yellow and pink. She loved flowers and all things lovely, filling her home with art and artifacts from her travels around the world. She enjoyed parties and people, thrilled at the chance to perform and be the center of attention at any gathering, laughing and glowing when people came to visit.
She enjoyed genealogy and spent the last decade of her life researching her family history and getting others excited about their family history. Her family was her greatest treasure. She adored her loving husband, admonished her four children, doted on her 27 grandchildren, and delighted in her 16 great-grandchildren.
She was blessed with a believing heart and cherished her testimony of eternal families, looking forward to her family reunion after she passed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eldrid Squire Bunting, and her four children— Bicknell C. "Rob" Robbins, Taylor C. Robbins, Elizabeth Ann Robbins, and Christopher C. Robbins and too many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to list.
