Andy Dennis Davis

Andy Dennis Davis passed away on February 9, 2018 in Salt Lake City. He was born on January 14, 1959 to Merlin A. Davis and Shirley E. Hill Davis. He married KayeLynn Leany on August 22, 1981 and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 2009. He is survived by his wife, parents, and brothers Randall (Millie) and Parry (Irma); many nieces, nephews and father-in-law Reed Leany. Preceded in death by his grandparents.
Andy graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1977. He volunteered at the March of Dimes Haunted House with his brother Parry where they helped create the different rooms. He also worked as a stage tech for numerous concerts for 10 years. He worked spotlight for the 2002 Winter Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Andy belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles where he was President for one year and state trustee for two years. He was named Eagle of the Year in 2006.
He loved watching John Wayne Westerns and other old classic movies. He enjoyed listening to country western music.
One of his last wishes was to receive his temple recommend which he did before his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 17 at the Little Cottonwood 5th Ward at 6350 South Rodeo Lane. A viewing will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 16 at the church and from 11 – 11:45 prior to the services.
