Andrew Williams

Andrew George Williams, 79, passed away at home April 24, 2014 in West Jordan. He was born June 5, 1934 in Opotiki, New Zealand to Fredrick George Enos Williams and Vera McDonnell. He married Fehia Lavinia Vaitai who preceded him in death. Married Valamotu Faiva.
Andrew enjoyed keeping up on current events. He loved boating and fishing. He participated in rowing and track in high school. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and they will miss him dearly. Andrew was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he could always be found serving others. Andrew grew up on a farm where he learned to work hard and appreciate the rewards that come with hard work. He was generous, giving, loving and a friend to everyone.
Survived by his wife; children, Peter (Katerina), Fred, Sunia (Kalesita), Henry (Becky), Doras (Hopate) Tupou; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife, Fehia Lavinia Vaitai.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1st, 10:00 a.m. the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1945 W. 9000 So. Evening services for family and friends will be held Wednesday from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
