Ana Zemanek, 90, has wanted Jesus to come and take her home which He did on Sept 13, 2013. Ana was born Ana Silvia Martinez on May 1, 1923 in Bogota, Columbia. She was orphaned at an early age and had a very difficult childhood. She came to the USA as a young woman and worked as a nanny. She became a citizen of the US and would vote in each election. Ana was a quiet, friendly person who was very independent. She married Albert Zemanek (deceased) in St Theresa Catholic Church in Midvale, Utah and they lived in Murray near the Cottonwood Hospital, where Ana worked for many years. Ann, as her friends knew her, walked to church, store, cemetery, McDonalds, post office, and to visit her many friends. Many Murray people knew her from giving her a ride. Ana was a lifelong devoted Catholic woman who attended services regularly on Saturday afternoons. On Sundays she often attended the Lutheran, Baptist, and LDS services in her neighborhood and had many wonderful friends from these congregations. Ana has no relatives who live close by, but the neighbors and friends who loved her appreciate all those who have cared for her. She leaves nieces and nephews both in Bogota, Columbia and the US who also loved her. Services will be held Thursday, Sept 19, at the St Jude Catholic Church, 4893 South Wasatch (275 E) in Murray, UT. Viewing from 10:30 to 11:00 and Mass at 11:00 am.
