Ana Maria Ypanaque Valverde de Quintana, age 86, passed away on August 5, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on March 12, 1936 in Huarmey, located in the Ancash Region of Peru, to Juan Ypanaque and Aurora Valverde. She was married to Juan Luciano Quintana Alvarez.
Ana enjoyed spending time on crossword puzzles and word searches. She also liked knitting, crocheting and sewing. She made kimonos and judo uniforms. She even made the tent for the circus “Tony Perejil”.
She is survived by her children; Juan, Hernan, Roxana and Hedy Quintana, her grandkids; Michael Quintana, Sandra Miranda, Carla Quintana, Andrea Lee, Roger Quintana, Joselyn Quintana and Arnold Quintana, and her great-grandchildren; Alexa Ramirez, Dominic Quintana, Luciana Lazo, Scarlet Lee, Daryl Future, John Lee and Janna El Hadrati.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Ypanaque and Aurora Valverde, her husband, Juan Quintana, and her siblings, Cesar Ypanaque and Graciela Ypanaque.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022, beginning with a viewing from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM being held at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, located at 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah. A Funeral Mass will be said at 1:30 PM following the viewing and will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 946 South 200 East in Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment will be held at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, located at 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah directly after Mass.Service Information
